The Elf On The Shelf
So, this morning we found a package on the hearth of our fireplace. Addressed to Jack, Sam and Will. It came from the North Pole. It was wrapped in Christmas paper and enclosed a note. The note was from Santa. It told the boys since it was the first day of snow he was sending one of his best helpers to watch them. The package was a book. It also included a small elf that Brian named Stevie. (as we were instructed to name it) We read the book and learned that the elf would travel back and forth from our home to the North Pole to report how they had been that day. Wow. Is all I can say. Wow. Jack thought it would be a good idea to say a prayer to his Heavenly Father (Are you kidding me? Stinking cute!) and thanked Him for the "nicely elf that has come to our home to help us to be good". The boys proceeded to snuggle on the couch and watch Home Alone (their current favorite). I think this is going to be good.
